This bundle contains two PowerPoint lessons for Grade 5-6 students.
Lesson #1: Myths
This ready-to-go lesson is designed for Grade 5-6 learners, but it can also work in Grade 4 if you have strong students. In this lesson, students learn three elements of a myth (characters, problem, and life lesson), focusing on six magical creatures (unicorn, dragon, centaur, griffin, mermaid, and phoenix), and do a few vocabulary and reading comprehension exercises. This lesson ends with a creative project. Students are asked to invent a magical creature, draw it and then write about it.
Lesson #2: The Story of Luna and Sunny
This ready-to-go lesson is designed for Grade 5-6 learners, but it can also work in Grade 4 if you have strong students. In this lesson, students listen to and read a myth called "The Story of Luna and Sunny," focusing on the five elements of a myth (characters, setting, plot, problem, and life lesson), do a few reading comprehension exercises that develop critical thinking skills, and create a storyboard.
