This ready-to-go lesson is designed for Grade 5-6 learners, but it can also work in Grade 4 if you have strong students. In this lesson, students learn three elements of a myth (characters, problem, and life lesson), focusing on six magical creatures (unicorn, dragon, centaur, griffin, mermaid, and phoenix). This lesson ends with a creative project. Students are asked to invent a magical creature, draw it and then write about it.
